Stemetil

Trade name for Prochlorperazine Maleate. This works by blocking dopamine receptor sites (and other receptor sites) in the brain. We borrow this drug from human medicine. It is not licensed for use in dogs or cats but we have used it for many years without ill effect because of its beneficial effects in balance problems such as vestibular syndrome. If you are put on Stemetil by us and you see any ill-effects at all please stop it and get in touch.

Our veterinarians are all experienced general practitioners with a broad knowledge and
understanding of animal health, illness and injury.
