Carprieve

Carprieve is the trade name for Carprophen – a modern NSAID(Non Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drug) These are very useful drugs helping to relieve pain and inflammation in lots of conditions. We use it extensively especially treating joint and muscle diseases including osteoarthritis.

There are all sorts of potential side-effects mostly involving the guts. Any NSAID can cause tummy upsets and even ulceration of the bowel with bleeding into the stomach or intestines. If your dog develops a tummy upset stop giving the Carprieve and seek our advice. Some dogs cannot stomach one NSAID but may be fine with another. The majority of individuals can tolerate Carprieve and those that can derive great benefit from it.

Our veterinarians are all experienced general practitioners with a broad knowledge and
understanding of animal health, illness and injury.
